Cranmore Mountain is located in North Conway in the scenic White Mountain region of New Hanmpshire. Cranmore opened in 1937 and is one of the country’s oldest continuously operating ski areas.
Every winter, hundreds of thousands of families come to Cranmore to ski and ride on our sunny slopes. We offer 50 trails and glades, with a full service ski and snowboard school, many food and beverage options, a fully-licensed bar, snow tubing park and a fitness facility with indoor climbing wall, swimming pool and tennis.
And every summer, Cranmore hosts summer concerts and summer kids programs at its Fitness Center plus a host of other special events like the Jen's Friends Hill Climb. New this summer, the Tubing Park is offered along with Fun Zone activities, including bouncy house, disc golf and other fun and games for families.

Portland, ME- 1 hour 45 minutes; 65 miles
Boston, MA- 3 hours; 130 miles

New York, NY- 6 hours 30 minutes; 350 miles
Burlington, VT- 3 hours; 145 miles
From the Boston area
Take route 95 north towards Portsmouth New Hampshire. After the toll booth look for exit 4 White Mountains (Spaulding turnpike) which will be on your left. Stay on the Spaulding turnpike north, this will eventually become route 16 north. About 2 hours north of route 95 you will be in Conway NH. Follow route 16 north to the set of traffic lights just past Burger King. Take a left and you'll find us in our beautiful new building just beyond Walgreens. The Climbing School is located on the right side of the Eastern Mountain Sports store.
From the Portland Maine area
Take route 302 west for about an hour and fifteen minutes to the junction of route 16 north to North Conway. Stay on route 302/16 north to the set of traffic lights just past Shaw's Supermarket. Go straight at the lights and you'll find us in our beautiful new building just beyond Walgreens. The Climbing School is located on the right side of the Eastern Mountain Sports store.
From the New York City area
Take route 15 (Merritt Parkway) north to route 8 north to (Waterbury) to route 84 north. Stay on route 84 to the Massachusetts turnpike route 90 east. Stay on 90 to route 495 north, to route 95 north. Take route 95 north towards Portsmouth New Hampshire. From the Burlington Vermont area
Take rte 89 south to rte 62 east (after Montpelier). From rte 62 in Barre take rte 302 east to North Conway. After the lights in North Conway, keep heading east for about 2 miles and look for us on the right just past the Irving Gas station, take a right and you'll find us in our beautiful new building just behind Starbucks. The Climbing School is located on the right side of the Eastern Mountain Sports store.
From the Montreal area
From Montreal, take route 10 to Magog, then to route 55 south. 55 south will become I-91 at the US border. Take 91 south to St Johnsbury Vermont. In St Johnsbury, take I-93 south to exit 40, route 302 east. Take route 302 east to North Conway. After the lights in North Conway, keep heading east for about 2 miles and look for us on the right just past the Irving Gas station, take a right and you'll find us in our beautiful new building just behind Starbucks. The Climbing School is located on the right side of the Eastern Mountain Sports store.
