Introduction to Backcountry Skiing/Snowboarding

Time to leave the ski area behind and move out to the wilds of the backcountry.

•  Learn techniques to feel comfortable on "wild" snow.

•  Techniques include: uphill travel, skin use, what to bring, and how to dress.

•  Demonstration and practice with avalanche transceivers

•  This is a great start before venturing to our ski ascent/decent of Mt. Washington.

Prerequisite: Open to Alpine or Telemark skiers and Snowboarders who are comfortable on Blue trails. Telemark equipment is available at no extra cost.If you need Alpine Touring equipment you can rent it at our store please call ahead at 603 356 5433.
