Intermediate Backcountry Skiing/Snowboarding
Our Intermediate Backcountry ski lessons are designed for the individual who has taken our intro course or someone with previous backcountry skiing experience. Skiers taking this course should have a working knowledge of the AT or tele binding system, skin use, and have previously used avalanche transceivers.
The intermediate lessons cover: Efficient uphill/downhill movement, transceiver practice and rescue techniques, Climbing and skiing terrain selection, Skiing in steeper terrain
Prerequisites: Open to Alpine or Telemark skiers and Snowboarders who are comfortable on black diamond trails; that have taken the intro class or have previous backcountry skiing experience. Telemark equipment is available at no extra cost.If you need Alpine Touring equipment you can rent it at our store, please call ahead at 603 356 5433.
Like all of our courses, these programs are progressive. You can add on as many days as you’d like. Each day will start out where you left off.
